The objectives of the “Friends of Pakistan” are to work in strategic partnership with the Government of Pakistan and other relevant UK and worldwide partners as Pakistan is facing a significant problem of violent extremism in organised manner which have created economical and instability problems due to extremism. To support and fight against this extremism, with the support of international community and organizations, the group aims to work with the Government of Pakistan, providing technical know-how and assistance, technology transfer and to support the economic and social development, particularly focusing on education, health and human development. The improve the trade and reform the investment and energy sector is an other field where members want to use their expertise. The members have a great concern over justice, corruption, communication, law and order issues in Pakistan and consider that Pakistan’s democratic institutions should be improved.
